  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for glaze consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk and melted butter; combine well.
  2. Knead in the egg until smooth (about 5-7 minutes). Let dough rise in a warm spot until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla; fold in strawberries and jam.
  4. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake filling evenly over it.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the filling before rolling up tightly.
  6. Cut into equal pieces and place in a greased baking pan. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. For the glaze, whip together softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over rolls before serving.
