Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces linguine or fettuccine
  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 pound turkey sausage or chicken sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Colorful bell peppers and onions

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp and chicken with half the Cajun seasoning. In a skillet with olive oil, sear the chicken until golden brown; then cook the shrimp until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté turkey sausage until browned. Add bell peppers and onions to soften.
  4. For the sauce, melt butter in the skillet, whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add chicken broth and cream while whisking until smooth.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, remaining Cajun seasoning, and spices; simmer to thicken.
  6. Combine everything: add proteins and veggies to the sauce before tossing with cooked pasta.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and green onions.
