  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar blend
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups water or beef broth
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Stir in diced bell peppers and sauté for another 3–4 minutes.
  4. Mix in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and orzo pasta.
  5. Pour in water or beef broth; bring to a simmer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until orzo is tender.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream until smooth.
  7. Top with shredded cheese; cover briefly to allow melting.
  8. Garnish with parsley if desired before serving.
