  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish while the oven heats.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until smooth.
  4. Pour batter over melted butter—do not stir!
  5. In another bowl, combine peaches with remaining sugar and cinnamon; spoon over batter without stirring.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
