  • 1 (21 oz) can premium cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • Milk as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, almond extract, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Press half of the dough into a greased baking pan; spread cherry filling on top.
  6. Dollop remaining dough over the cherries.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown; cool completely before adding glaze.
  8. Mix confectioners' sugar with almond extract, vanilla, and milk; drizzle over cooled bars.
