  • Kosher salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup apple juice or chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper; place them in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix apple juice or chicken broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Pour over the chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 3 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth; add to the sauce to thicken.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles and enjoy!
