  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 1¾ cups flour, ½ cup granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine ½ cup milk, ⅓ cup vegetable oil, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until well mixed.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined; fold in 1 cup pitted cherries.
  5. For the topping, mix together ½ cup flour, ⅓ cup brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Cut in ¼ cup cold unsalted butter until crumbly.
